Das Kennenlernen

Als ich am 29. Oktober von einem Kunden nach Hause fuhr, wollte ich auf dem Rückweg noch etwas Essen. Irgendwie hatte ich diesmal nicht so die Lust auf Hamburger, obwohl ich die liebe, sondern irgendwie etwas anderes. Na, kennt ihr ja evt. Man hat auf “etwas anderes” Hunger.

Na, dachte ich mir, auf dem Weg wird sich schon etwas finden. Als ich durch Limburg fuhr, sah ich auf der rechten Seiten “Subway”, die dort wohl neu aufgemacht haben. Bei SubWay habe ich schon mal was gefuttert und fand die Baguettes sehr lecker. Also auf den Parkplatz und rein. Es war recht voll, doch ich kam erstaunlich schnell dran, schneller als bei McDonalds oder BurgerKing. Und was habe ich gegessen? - lol - Da gab es den Sub des Tages, das gefiel mir....

So, nun musste ich nur noch einen Platz finden, ich setzte mich zu einem Girl, das an einem 2er Tisch alleine saß. Auf meine Frage, “Ist hier noch frei”, sagte sie, “Naja, gleich nicht mehr, denn dann sitzt Du da.”.. Da war ich doch platt, denn in letzter Zeit ist es mir selten passiert, dass ich geduzt werde, naja, wenn man mal über 40 ist....

Na, die Einladung nahm ich doch gerne an. Ich stellte mich dann auch gleich mal vor und sie sagte, sie sei Anja, hätte gerade mal wieder eine Shopping-Tour gemacht und braucht nun was zum beißen.

Meeting Anja:

When I drove back home from a client’s house, I was a little hungry and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. For a strange reason I didn’t fancy a burger, which I really love, but something different. You know the feeling, that craving for something else ‘for a change’.

So, I was sure that I would find something along the way. When I drove through Limburg, I spotted a Subway’s on the right side of the road. I reckon they must have just opened that shop. I had a Subway’s before and found their baguettes to be very tasty. I parked the car and entered the shop. It was quite busy, but I got served very quickly. Quicker than at McDonald’s or Burger King. And what did I get? – lol – I took a fancy to the Sub of the day…

Now I needed a place to sit down to eat. I approached a girl that was sitting alone at a table for two. To my question: ‘Is this seat available?’ she rebuked ‘Not much longer if you are sitting down.’ I felt steamrolled. It hasn’t happened to me often lately that I get a response in a non-formal language. Well, if you’re on the wrong side of the forties…

Anyway, I gladly accepted the offer and sat down. I introduced myself straight away and she said her name is Anja. She had been out on yet another shopping spree and needed a bit to eat.
